Alice Katherine Gibbs Katie Burgess

Alice Katherine Gibbs Burgess, known by friends as Katie , of Hesperia, California returned to live with Our Heavenly Father February 10, 2012. She was born March 24, 1922 in Columbia, Missouri to Alice Clinkinbeard and Robert Morrison Gibbs. She married Dale Lewis Burgess of Los Angeles, CA on March 24, 1944 in Columbia, Missouri. Throughout her life she was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served the Lord faithfully fulfilling many different callings. Her most cherished accomplishment was serving for over 20 years in the Los Angeles California Temple. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by her brother, Dudley Dysart Gibbs of Ogden UT, her sons, Alfred Lawrence Burgess of San Bernardino CA, Richard Lynn Burgess of Redlands CA, and daughter, Dalene Kaye Humphries of Hesperia CA. She has nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 17th, 2012 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Redlands Stake Center, 350 Wabash Avenue, Redlands CA. Viewing will be at 9:00 AM with services immediately following at 10:00 AM. Emerson-Bartlett Mortuary in Redlands is in charge of arrangements.
