Harriet Mooney passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on June 13, 2015. Harriet Mae Morlan Mooney was born to Ida and James Morlan on May 10, 1929 in Crookston Minnesota. She grew up in Crookston and Bemidji attending St Phillips school, Bemidji High School and graduated from the Mount St. Benedict in Crookston. She attended Bemidji State College and graduated from Crafton Hills College in Yucaipa with an AA degree in Early Childhood. She married Keith Mooney, the love of her life, in Bemidji MN and they were married 59 ½ years until he died of cancer in 2009. They raised five children Karen (Barry) Mowers, Mary, Kevin, Carol (Mark) Lenchner and David. She had 7 grandchildren, Steve, Joe, Katie, Marisa, Branden, Shannon and Cory. She had two step grandchildren Cinda and Alisha. She had four great grandchildren Olivia, Owen, Hunter and Ethan and one step great grandchild E.J and many nieces and nephews. She was a people person and never knew a stranger. She was still in touch with many of her grade school friends and had a special relationship with Priscilla Kennedy her best friend in Bemidji and Redlands. Special thanks goes to friends Brenda Dallmier and Tracey Wallce for their wonderful love and support during these last four years . Harriet moved to Redlands in 1957. She was very active in the Catholic Daughters, PTO, and a member of "Our Lady of Peace" prayer group. She was a communion assistant at Braswells Chateau for the last five years. When she was younger she loved roller skating, tap dancing and bike riding. Harriet was an avid bridge player and loved golf, ballroom dancing and playing cards. She was a stay at home mom while she was raising her children. She was a teacher's aide at Franklin Elementary for 13 years until she retired. Harriet and Keith had a summer home on Grace Lake in Bemidji MN and spent 56 years enjoying the lake and family and friends. She was a member of the Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Redlands and St. Charles Catholic Church in Cass Lake Minnesota. She was proceeded in death by her mother and father, Ida and James Morlan, her step-father Fred Cyr and brothers Lawrence Morlan and Clifford Morlan and sister Irene Morlan Wright. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, June 19th, 2015 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church and a Memorial Service Celebration will be at 4 pm on Monday, July 6, 2015 at St. Charles Catholic Church in Cass Lake MN.
