Rose Marie Hernandez

Life-long Redland’s resident, Rose Marie Hernandez, passed away on April 20th, 2023 at the age of 77. Born on July 11th, 1945, Rose graduated from Redlands High School and attended both Crafton Hills College and San Bernardino Valley College to study early childhood development. She was a devoted preschool teacher at Redlands Day Nursery and Headstart Pre-School for over 25 years and an active member of her community. Rose was one of the founding members of the Northside Impact Committee in Redlands for many years.

She is survived by her spouse of 36 years, Leo Hernandez, 2 children William (Mayra) Garcia, and Anna Reyna, 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Rose was preceded in death by her mother Phyllis Jeanie Calderon.

Services will be held at Emmerson-Bartlett Memorial Chapel on May 4th, 2023. Viewing will start at 10:00 a.m. with memorial service at 11:00 a.m., and a Celebration of Life following at the American Legion Post 650 on Church Street. For more details, please see www.emmersonbartlett.com
