Alice Kathleen Rains

Alice Kathleen (Logan) Rains February 7, 1921- April 18, 2011 Ojai, California. Alice Kathleen Rains passed peacefully on April 18, 2011 in Ojai, California where she enjoyed her most recent years living at the Olive Branch of Ojai, a wonderful assisted living home. Kathleen, as she was known to her friends and family, spent most of her pre-adult life in Okemah Oklahoma, where she graduated from high school and attended college. Kathleen married Clifford Rains in 1941 and moved to Riverside CA, where Clifford was stationed at March Air Force Base. They later moved to South Gate CA, where they raised their two children, Patricia and Michael. Following her retirement from the Los Angeles County Social Services Department, where Kathleen worked as an eligibility worker, Kathleen moved to Redlands, CA where she met many friends and enjoyed fellowship at the First Baptist Church of Redlands. Kathleen was pre-deceased by her husband Clifford, her brother Marion and her parents, Benjamin and Kate. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Jeff); son, Michael (Kathy); beloved grandsons, Brad Stone and Logan Rains; and Sister-in-law, Kathleen Thompson, all whom live in California. Friends and family are invited to attend services at the First Baptist Church of Redlands on Friday, April 22, 2011 at 10:00 am. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Redlands.
