Alice Reilly passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family and faith-sharing friends, on March 28, 2015. Alice Mary Frances was born to Dora and Arthur Weider on December 3, 1916 in Brooklyn, New York. She grew up in Whitestone, New York with her sister Dorothy and two brothers William and Raymond. She married George Reilly in Saint Luke's Church and raised three children, Robert, Georgia, and Michael. She was blessed with 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren. Alice was a joyful soul who was loved by everyone who met her, and she loved everyone she met. Her smile was contagious and she enjoyed a good joke. After she raised her family, she loved to travel with her sister and with her long-time friend Georgianna. In her later years, she continued to travel with her daughter, visiting family and friends throughout the West. Alice enjoyed games of all kinds. She played Bingo and card games with family and friends. She was also a big Dodger fan and enjoyed cheering them on from her livingroom chair. She especially loved attending her great-grandchildren's sporting events. Alice had a deep faith in God and loved to pray the rosary. She looked forward to attending weekly mass and was a member of Catholic Daughters. Alice was a source of inspiration to many as she gracefully grew older. Her family was comforted by her words of wisdom. She was compassionate and forgiving to all. She spent the last 12 years of her life under the loving care of her daughter, Georgia and the support of family members. She had a cheerful attitude and was vibrant and joyful through to the end of her life here on earth. Alice is in Heaven with our Lord and Savior, along with her mother, father, sister, brothers, husband, son Robert Reilly, two grandsons Robert and Patrick Reilly, and a great-grandson Sean Patrick Reilly. She is survived by her loving daughter, Georgia Jennings, her beloved son, Michael Reilly and his wife Marcelena, her treasured grandchildren Storm Reilly, Matthew Reilly and his wife Deeanne, John Reilly and his wife Cathy, Erin Reilly, Julie Garvey, Nicole Chupka and her husband Jan, Robyn Chupka, her many great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and extended family throughout the country.
