Allison Marietta Peters

Allison Marietta Peters (nee Van Leersum) passed away unexpectedly while staying with family on December 25, 2017, at the age of 36. 
 Allison was born on July 6, 1981, in Pomona, California, to Gerard and Diane Van Leersum. She graduated from Redlands High School in 1999 and continued her education at Crafton Hills College.  Allison started as an emergency medical technician with American Medical Response in Redlands, before becoming a call taker and dispatcher with the Rancho Cucamonga office. 
 In 2003, while working at Starbucks, Allison met her future husband, Jonathan.  Allison and Jonathan were married in Redlands in 2007.  Shortly after, they adopted their first Basset Hound.   In 2009, Allison discovered DaphneyLand Basset Rescue.  After several visits, Allison and Jonathan adopted another Basset Hound.  The Bassets were their children. 
 Allison is survived by her husband, Jonathan; her Basset Hound, Daisey Mae; her parents Gerard and Diane Van Leersum; her siblings, Alysia Chandler (Brett), Amanda Van Leersum-Morano (Baron), and Gerard Van Leersum; her parents-in-law, Ed and Karen Peters; her brother-in-law, Nathan Peters (Rachel) and her grandmother-in-law, Sally Hollingsworth (Don).  Allison is also survived by a loving extended family.
Allison is preceded in death by her Basset Hound, Roscoe; her grandparents Gerard and Amy Van Leersum, Richard Gluck and Helen McDowell-Gluck
 A memorial service will be held at Emmerson-Bartlett Memorial Chapel on Friday, January 5, 2018, at 11:00 am.  The chapel is located at 703 Brookside Avenue, Redlands, California 92373.  For memorial contributions, Allison's family has designated DaphneyLand Bassett Rescue.  Contributions may be given through the website (www.daphneyland.com) or may be mailed to DaphneyLand Basset Rescue at 6221 Shannon Valley Road, Acton, California 93510
