Andrew Franklin (Frank) Alford

Born in Anaheim, CA March 5, 1926 to Jesse Ellis and Octa Mae (Hamilton) Alford.

Frank attended elementary school in San Bernardino and Redlands Senior High School in Redlands, California.

Frank graduated early from Redlands Senior High School during his senior year, February 4, 1944 and enlisted in the Navy just three days later. After receiving a great deal of Naval Radio School training, Frnak was assigned to a troop transport ship USS Renville as a Radio Operator in the South Pacific and was Honorably Discharged on May 21, 1946.

Upon returning home from the war Frank was employed by the U.S. Postal Service in Yucaipa, before pursuing a career in electronics with Lockheed Aircraft, Harris Co, in San Bernardino, and RCA, Riverside.

Frank was predeceased by his first wife, Barbara Waite, his son Michael Lynn Alford and Granddaughter Jennifer. He is survived by his wife Ruth, sons Daniel, Phillip, Robert, five grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Services will be held at Emmerson Bartlett Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at 11AM.

Frank will always be loved and remembered for his positive attitude and kind disposition.
