Barbara Kay Beemer-Parker

June 25, 1951 — January 2, 2018

Barbara Beemer-Parker 66, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Redlands Community Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

Barb was born June 25, 1951 in Los Angeles, California.  In 1953 the family moved to Redlands, where Barb resided for the remainder of her life.
Barb graduated from Redlands High School in 1969.  She was the Editor of the school year book; the Makio, and played the flute in the band.  Barb received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Cal State Fullerton and went on to receive a Teaching Credential. She later worked for over 18 years at Wade Trucking as a load broker.
In her early years, Barb sang in the choir at the First Presbyterian Church of Redlands. In 1992 she became a member of the First Congregational Church of Redlands and sang in their choir for the last 22 years. She also served the church as a deaconate and assisted the choir director with the music each week
Barb was married in 1992 to Lester Parker who preceded her in death. Barb was also preceded in death by her parents, Lou (2002) and Rosemary (2010) Beemer as well as her brother Frank (2003).  She is survived by her brothers Richard (Sharyn) and Larry (Beverly) and Frank’s wife June.  She had the love of her nieces and nephews Nicole, Andrea, John, Erin, Marissa, Kelly, Tim, Brian and Joshua. She also has the love of countless friends. The family is forever grateful for them.
Service for Barb will be held on Monday, January 8, 2018 at 4:00pm at the First Congregational Church at 2 W. Olive Ave., Redlands. Internment will be private. 
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Barb’s name to the First Congregational Church of Redlands Sanctuary Choir, 2 W. Olive Ave., Redlands CA  92373.
