Belen Belle Stewart Belen Belle Stewart, 78, died Feb. 24, 2009, at her home of natural causes. Born March 9, 1930, in Jerome, Arizona, she was a resident of Yucaipa who had also lived in Santa Ana, Pomona, Los Angeles and South Bay. She was employed as a nurse and a social worker. She enjoyed cooking, shopping, gardening and her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her sons, David Mark Stirdivant of Loomis, Tim Stirdivant of Clearwater, Fla., Keven Stirdivant of Fontana, Don Stirdivant of Cinncinnati, Ohio, Ron Stirdivant of Yucaipa and Barry Stewart of Hesperia; daughters Lorraine Stirdivant-Young of Yucaipa and Lysa Golden of Loomis; sisters Mary Garza of Orange County, Ruth Rattaro of Oakland, Connie Stuckey of Oakland and Elsie Hamilton of California; brothers Joseph Vasquez of Florida and Matt Vasquez of Oakland; 18 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 7, at 1 p.m. at Emmerson-Bartlett Memorial Chapel in Yucaipa. The family wishes to thank niece JoAnne Hernandez for her loving care.
