Benny Valdepena, age 76, peacefully went home to be with his Lord and Savior, surrounded by his loving family, on May 12, 2022. He was an amazing Husband, Father, Grandpa, and Papa. Benny was the son and youngest child born to Ben and Nancy Valdepena, on December 18, 1945, in San Bernardino, CA.
While growing up in Redlands, Benny often helped his parents with their ranch and orchard businesses. After graduating high school in 1963, he branched out and started his own businesses. It wasn’t before long, he then met the love his life, Sharon. Benny and Sharon were married on June 18, 1972 and would have celebrated 51 years of marriage this month. After four years of marriage, they decided to start a family, welcoming their two daughters, Rachelle and Tina; whom were his world. His continuous love and devotion as a husband and father, was later expanded as a grandpa and papa.
He enjoyed outings/vacations with his family, watching his grandchildren play sports, reading the bible, reading/watching anything to do with history, working on the yard, dancing, and listening to different genres of music, jazz being his favorite. Benny was a fan of boxing, and also enjoyed watching his favorite teams play, Raiders, Lakers and Dodgers. However, Benny’s true love and passion was his family, but most of all his grandchildren and great grandchildren. His world revolved around his granddaughters, and after retiring he spent almost every day with them for the past 20 years. Benny loved and adored his daughters and grandchildren unconditionally; he always spoke of them proud and glowingly. His love and selfless dedication to his wife, daughters, and grandchildren will forever be cherished and missed!
Benny is proceeded in death by his beloved parents, Ben and Nancy Valdepena; his beloved brother, Robert Valdepena; and his precious daughter, Tina Marie Valdepena. He will continue to live through his loving wife and best friend of more than 50 years, Sharon Valdepena; his loving son, James Valdepena; his loving daughter and son in law, Rachelle and Augie Luna; his loving granddaughters, Raylene (Jesse), Alyssa, and Ciera; his adored great grandchildren, Madyson, Ella, and Crue; also, his loving sister, Florence (Valdepena) Silva.
