Betty Jo Haigh

Betty was born on a farm outside of Roby Texas. Growing up, she was the third child out of six and the eldest of her three sisters. As a young woman she attended nursing school in Abilene, Texas until called away to Upland California, to care for her grandmother. While living there she met Rex Haigh, and they were married soon afterwards. While Rex built his business she settled into her life as a homemaker and had two children, JoAnn and Keith. She established herself into Redlands life as an active member of the First United Methodist Church and other community organizations her children participated in. She enjoyed traveling and toured most of the U.S. and took trips to Europe and Asia as well. She was proud that both her children graduated college, and was especially supportive of her four grandchildren, Megan, Shannon, Andrew and Rachel.
