Betty Templeman

Our beloved aunt, Betty Templeman, age 74, lost her courageous battle with cancer on September 16, 2011 while surrounded by her young family. Betty was born in Taunton, MN to William and Annie Kuchera. After high school she served in the Air Force for 3 honorable years. After leaving the military, she started work as a civil servant at Norton Air Force Base where she met Kenneth Templeman whom she married in 1963. After 32 years of service to her government, she retired in 1981. In 1991, after 28 happy years, she lost her love Kenneth to brain cancer. Betty is pre-deceased by her husband Kenneth, her parents, sister Marie and brothers Raphael, Mayo and Duane. She is survived by brothers Bernard of Florida and Dr. Robert of MN and those she lovingly referred to as her young family - nieces Margaret DeJean (Vance), Eileen Swope (Robert), Nephew Kenneth Shearer (Sheila) and their Children Kyle DeJean (Linda), Aryne Shearer (Mike), Kandyce DeJean (Junior), Mathew Swope and Brooklynn Glaze (who will miss her immensely), as well as many friends. There will be no services. Emmerson Bartlett Memorial Chapel in Redlands is handling all arrangements. Donations can be made in memoriam to the American Cancer Society.
