She was the youngest of 15 children born to Richard and Elizabeth Griffiths of Oregon. After graduating from high school, she moved to California and began attending L.I.F.E. Bible College. While there, she met Roy and they were married at Angelus Temple by Aimee Semple McPherson in 1944. After graduating and becoming ordained ministers, they pastored churches in Canada, New York and Ohio. They returned to California in 1964 and began attending New Life Foursquare Church of Redlands where they served for many, many years. Blanche worked for the San Bernardino Sun Newspaper for 22 years, retiring in 1986. After she and Roy retired, they began Sunday church services at Mt. Lakes RV Park in Lytle Creek. They ministered there for 15 years. They also volunteered at Foursquare Missions Press in Los Angeles for 10 years. Blanche was a member of the UMW Ladies quilt group. They made many quilts and other craft projects which they sold and donated the proceeds to Missions. She was an amazing painter and piano player. Well into her 90’s she was still going to Mission Commons Senior Living Community to play the piano for the “old folks” there.
