Bobby Harold Menke

Bobby (Bob) Harold Menke, 92, of Redlands, California, passed away on February 21, 2023, following a short illness.

Bob was born on October 5, 1930 to Edward and Emma in New Haven, Missouri. After Bob graduated from New Haven High School in 1947, he went on to study Accounting at Columbia University.

Following his graduation with a degree in Finance, Bob joined the United States Air Force and served as a commissioned officer for four years. He was stationed at Wright Patterson AFB and in Nagoya, Japan.

Bob began his first job at Lockheed Martin as an assistant accountant, starting a career that lasted over 42 years. During this time, he traveled extensively in the far east and Europe, having been stationed in Singapore, Switzerland and China.

In 1950, Bob met his future spouse JoAnn Young on a blind date. Bob and JoAnn were married on December 29, 1951, and went on to have four children; Steven, Craig, Brian and Brad.

In 1998, Bob retired and spent his time traveling with his wife and planning family gatherings and events.

Bob was predeceased by wife JoAnn, son Brad, and grandson Nick. He is survived by sons Steven, Craig and Brian, and grandchildren Heather, BK and Lauren with her husband David.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5pm at Emmerson-Bartlett Memorial Chapel, Redlands, CA. on Wednesday, March 8, 2023. A Memorial Service will be held at their Chapel on Thursday March 9, 2023 at 11am, followed by a graveside service at Hillside Memorial Park at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Salvation Army, an organization Bob and JoAnn felt strongly about.
