Brett Travis Richards

Brett Richards, a beloved husband, friend, brother, son, and inspiration to many, passed away peacefully at home on January 10, 2024. Born August 10, 1983, in Southern California he spent many of his childhood years growing up with his family in Lytle Creek, CA. He met the love of his life, Nicole, at Redlands High School in 1998, and the two were married in 2007. Despite the passing of his father in early 2005, Brett remained an unwavering beacon of positivity and determination, even in the face of a subsequent off-roading accident that left him paralyzed that same year. Brett remained an avid car lover, outdoorsman and athlete, enjoying activities such as off-roading, car modifications, camping, anything outdoors or tech related. He began competitive hand cycling after his spinal cord injury and went on to become a sponsored para-athlete for Loma Linda Team Possibilities', touching the lives of countless others with his resilience, kindness, and positivity. Brett's positivity and light shined through even during the toughest moments, including his courageous battle with leukemia from 2019 onward. Brett was predeceased by his father, Thomas Richards, who passed away in 2005. Brett is survived by his wife Nicole Richards, his brother John Richards, his mother Joann Jacobs, and a wide circle of family and friends who all considered him a brother. Also, his beloved Doberman, Stella. His loving spirit is forever carried in our hearts.
