Caitlin Elizabeth Bender was born on February 13, 1988 to Kevin and Margelee Bender. She was so special to them. They both loved her very much, and were amazed at how smart and caring she was at such an early age. At 2 years old she knew her ABC's and could read and write shortly thereafter. Her brother Cameron was born 2 years later, and they loved being with each other. Caitlin loved and cared for him as a sister and a friend. Caitlin lived in California her entire life, and her favorite home was in the mountains of Wrightwood. She attended Serrano High School and graduated in 2006. She aspired to be a nurse and began school in 2010 and was at the top of her class until being diagnosed with cancer. Caitlin had a beautiful daughter, Bailey Kay Benedict. She was Caitlin's pride and joy. Caitlin lost her mother at a very young age to cancer and Caitlin's focus was to be the best mother she could to Bailey. Caitlin had a strong Christian faith and was able to fight the cancer and pain that she no doubt could not understand. Caitlin never complained but fought bravely the fight set before her until the Lord took her home. She is survived by her father Kevin Bender; Grandfather Robert Bender; brothers Cameron and Bradley Bender; sisters Melody Ann and Lauren Grace Bender; and her beautiful little Bailey Kay. Services will be held at Emmerson Bartlett Memorial Chapel in Redlands on Sunday March 27th, 2011 at 1:00 in the afternoon.
