Carissa Maria Banez

Our precious Carissa Maria Banez, 19, passed away the evening of March 18, 2015, at the Fontana Kaiser Hospital ER. Carissa was born February 5, 1996, to John and Bea Banez and has an older sister, Hannah. In High School she was a member of the Yucaipa High Dance Team. She had just started college in the fall of 2014 at the California State University of San Marcos and was majoring in Human Development. Carissa loved to have fun and she lived every day of her life to the fullest. She was full of love and happiness and spread her joy to everyone around her. Carissa made it her duty to make as many friends as possible. She was always talking to her friends or making plans to see them. She loved to be the center of attention and was always cracking jokes. She was fearless and loved to laugh. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 26th, 2015, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm with a Rosary at 7:00pm at Emmerson Bartlett Memorial Chapel, 35208 Yucaipa Blvd., Yucaipa, CA. A Funeral Mass is scheduled for Friday, March 27th, 2015 at 11:00am at St. Frances X Cabrini Catholic Church, 12687 California Street, Yucaipa, CA.
