Carlton F. Wallace, Jr., or Rickey as he was known, was born in Loma Linda, California April 26, 1949 the first child of Carlton and Mavis Wallace. He was raised in Fontana, California where he attended Slover Special School and never missed a Sunday at Temple Baptist Church. The family later moved to Redlands and attended Immanual Baptist Church in Highland, where Rick was devoted to the choir. If you were ever in the congregation you couldn’t help but look up to see Rick’s huge smile, his entire body keeping perfect beat to the music while his voice rang out over the rest.
Rick had William Syndrom and special needs and was cared for in his home by his parents until his mother died in 2014. He then moved to Salem Christian Homes in Chino and was nurtured by the staff at Yorba Home until his sudden death April 1, 2017. He was 67.
Rick is survived by his brother David Wallace of Yucca Valley and his sister Nancy Ternasky, formerly of Redlands, along with friends too numerous to count.
A celebration of this special life will be at Emmerson-Bartlett Memorial Chapel in Redlands, Friday April 7, 2017 at 10:00 a.m.
He will be laid next to his parents at Montecito Memorial Park, Colton, California.
