Carmen Soria Torres, 92, went to be with her Lord and Saviour on February 6, 2017. She was born in Derry, New Mexico on September 27, 1924. She has lived in Redlands, CA since 1953. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Carmen is survived by sons Rick(Tammy) and John, 9 grandkids, 11 great grandkids, and 2 great-great grandkids as well as many nieces and nephews. Living are her brothers Isidro Soria and Chris Soria and sister Sadie Sooy. Preceding her in death were her loving husband Joe, and sisters Mary and Lucy, brothers Paul and David, parents Manuela and Juan.
Mom spent her life supporting Dad as he ministered with the Assemblies of God. They would often sing duets in church blending their voices beautifully. Her love of gardening could be seen in the wonderful roses that she tended in her front yard and that neighbors walking by would somehow make them their own. Her grandchildren were the recipients of the most loving and patient person that will always remain within their hearts.
A Celebration of Life will be at Emmerson-Bartlett Memorial Chapel, 703 Brookside Ave., Redlands, CA. A reception will be held after the service at her home, 810 Post St, Redlands, CA. Interment will be at Riverside National Cemetary alongside her husband Joe. They were married 67 years and will now forever be united and their voices will again join together in perfect harmony.
