Cecelia Diana Aguirre

January 19, 1937 — October 11, 2024

Cecelia Diana Aguirre, 87, passed away on October 11, 2024 in Fallbrook, California. She was born on January 19, 1937 in Redlands, California, the second of three children born to Helen and Joseph Barron. She went through the Redlands School District, graduating from Redlands High School in 1955. She was a lifelong music lover, so it came as no surprise that she met her future husband, Joseph, at a Little Richard concert. Cecelia and Joseph married in 1957 and went on to have two children, Michael and Annette. After getting married, Cecelia worked as a payroll clerk for about 7 years in Redlands. The Aguirre family decided to uproot and move to Fallbrook in 1966 because of a job opportunity for Joseph. She remained in Fallbrook for the rest of her life, where she was a homemaker and raised her children. The happiest time of her life was when her two grandchildren, Eric and Michelle, were born. They were her absolute pride and joy from the minute they entered her world and made her a “Gamma,” as they lovingly called her. She made it a point to make their childhood magical, always providing endless love and support. She was there for them as they grew up, graduated college, and started their careers, beaming with pride every step of the way. Her love for her children and grandchildren was everlasting, as there was nothing she wouldn’t do for each of them. She will always be remembered for her strength and caring heart. Cecelia is preceded in death by her son Michael Aguirre and sister-in-law Elizabeth Cervantes Barron. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Joseph Aguirre of Fallbrook, daughter Annette “Edie” McBride and son-in-law Eric McBride of Hemet, grandson Eric J. McBride of San Jacinto, granddaughter Michelle McBride of Hemet, brother Robert Barron and sister-in-law Rhea Barron of Utah, sister Grace Gonzales and brother-in-law Gonzalo “Chalo” Gonzales of Redlands, 4 nieces and a nephew.
