Celina Louise Bailey Savage (March 1, 1917 October 30, 2011) Celina L. Savage was born on March 1, 1917 in Radville, Saskatchewan, Canada. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Conrad Savage (d. Oct. 27, 1974) and two children; Aurea Alice Edgar (d. Aug. 31, 1944) and Alfred David Dave Edgar (d. Jan. 3, 1992). Celina is survived by her brother Charles Bailey of Alberta, Canada, daughter Lorraine Edgar of Washington, and son Kenneth Edgar. She has 5 grandchildren: Kelly Erler, Lynnell Harris, John Edgar, David Edgar and Jessica Worley; 13 great grandchildren: Nathanael Harris, Shaneese Dunigan, Donahvan Dunigan, Kamiesha Dunigan, Aurora Dunigan, Damian JR Dunigan, Jr., Jonathan Edgar, Jessie Worley, Ashley Erler, William Billy Dunigan, Cassidy Worley, Charlotte Harris, and Thomas Worley. As well as 3 great-great-grandchildren: Malahkye Dunigan, Traisean Dunigan, and Jamari Smith. She also has many nieces and nephews with whom she kept in close contact. Celina moved to the United States from Canada in the 1940 s. She lived in Washington, Idaho, Arizona, Florida, Utah and California. She worked as a Nurse for many years. She became a US Citizen on September 2, 1971. During retirement she volunteered her time working with seniors and received many certificates of appreciation. She spent a lot of her time traveling by van visiting with friends and family all over the country. In Utah, Celina enjoyed serving in The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints St. George Utah Temple. In 2006, Celina moved to California to be closer to her granddaughter, Kelly and family. Celina lived in Yucaipa, Mentone and Redlands. She volunteered at the local Senior Center in Redlands until she was 93 years old. She was a member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints Redlands California Stake and had many friends that visited with her and helped with her needs. Celina loved Playing card games, her favorite being King s in the Corner; she was a fantastic Ballroom Dancer in her day. She loved to garden, fish, boat and travel. Celina loved to spin fibers and weave on her tabletop and lap looms. While volunteering to teach the skill, she purchased a small plastic loom and taught her granddaughter, Jessica, to weave in 1985. Her favorite food was Shrimp, which she came to love and crave. Her secret to a long life was 1 piece of chocolate before bed! Memorial Service to be held during Relief Society Meeting at 11:00am Sunday, November 6, 2011 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Redlands California Stake Center, 350 Wabash Ave., Redlands, CA 92374. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2011, from 12:00 pm-12:45pm at Metcalf Mortuary 300 West St. George Blvd., St. George, Utah 84770. To be followed by a private graveside service at St. George Cemetery 700 E. Tabernacle, St. George, Utah 84770.
