Charlene Sullivan passed away, peacefully, on November 12, 2014 at 9:00 p.m., with her two daughters at her bedside. A service will be held at Emmerson Bartlett Memorial Chapel on Thursday November 20, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation for friends and family from 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. The casket will be closed at 10:30 a.m. out of respect for those who do not wish to view. Charlene will be laid to rest at Riverside National Cemetery, privately. Charlene was born to L.B. and Agnes Akin on January 8, 1932 in Sedalia, Missouri. In her childhood, she enjoyed a loving relationshiop with her step-dad Peter J. Sforza. Charlene attended Franklin High School where she met J. A. "Tony" Sullivan, her childhood sweetheart. The two were married on June 2, 1951. They were blessed with two daughters Debbie and Sheila. Charlene was a homemaker while her children were growing up. She then began working for medical professionals in many, many capacities. She was an avid fan of Vin Scully and the Dodgers. Charlene was preceded in death by her parents, L.B. Akin, Agnes Sforza and Peter J. Sforza and her loving husband of 50 years, Tony Sullivan. Charlene is survived by her daughter Debbie Bauder and her husband Robert Bauder, her daughter Sheila Harbert. She is also survived by her three grandchildren, Nikki Kay Lee, her husband George Lee, Ryan M. Harbert, his wife Shelly Harbert and Laura A. Harbert; three great grandchildren, Thomos L. Burkhart, Savannah E. Lee and Jenna N. Lee.
