Charles C. Graeber

January 25, 1921 — August 2, 2011

Charles Graeber, our father, mentor, and friend, passed away on August 2, 2011. He was born January 25, 1921 in Denver, Colorado and was raised in San Bernardino County. He was active in Boy Scouts and became an Eagle Scout in 1933. Charles graduated from San Bernardino High School in 1939 and received his Bachelor of Science degree from USC in 1943. World War II interrupted his education pursuits, but he obtained a degree of Naval Science from Northwestern University in 1944, and ultimately his own ship. He was honorably discharged as a Lieutenant J.G. in 1949. Charles earned his juris doctorate from USC in 1949, and went on to practice law in Redlands for over 60 years. He was a lifelong member of the Redlands Country Club, and loved playing golf and tennis. Charles was an avid card player and always had a new joke for his friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Martha, to whom he was married for almost 60 years. He is survived by his 4 children: Cal Graeber, Art Graeber, Ann Graeber and Erin Graeber. Charles will be greatly missed by all of us. In Lieu of flowers please send donations to the Boy Scouts of America or the YMCA.
