Charles “Charlie” Martinez Torres
Charles Torres, 95 of Redlands, CA was a brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather passed away peacefully on January 24, 2023.
He was born on September 11, 1927 to Leonard Sr & Soledad Torres.
He was a WWII veteran in the United States Army stationed in Alaska.
He worked for 30+ years as a mechanic, welder and sprayer in the Redlands orange grove business to Jack Clay and Frank Jacinto & Sons.
He loved his dogs and spending time with his family and friends, his past time was camping and fishing in sierra’s and walking along the sands at Doheny beach.
He would always be fixing stuff in his garage and tinkering with 1964 chevy truck.
He is survived by his 2 daughters, Charlene Aguirre (Mike), Teresa Seleska (Gary) and all from Redlands, 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. His siblings Tony Torres, Dolores Cruz, Richard Torres and Pete Torres.
He is preceded in death by his wife Lucy Torres and daughters, Shirley Torres, Olivia Jirsa and son, Daniel Torres. His siblings Frank Torres, Leonard Torres Jr., MaryEllen Almendarez and Jess Torres.
The Rosary will be on Tuesday, February 7th, at 6pm at Emmerson Bartlett Memorial Chapel, on 703 Brookside Avenue, Redlands.
Graveside services will be on Wednesday, February 8th at 11 am, at Hillside Memorial Park, 1540 Alessandro Road, Redlands. Reception immediately following at Anerican Legon Post 650 on 1532 Church Street in Redlands.
