Charles F. Young

Charles F. Young was born in Riverside, California in 1934. He died after a long bout with cancer, on Wednesday, March 9th, surrounded by family and friends at his home in Riverside. Known as “Chuck”, by his friends, and affectionately as “Pop”, by his family. He was an engineer and lived all over the world while working for Alumax and Hunter Engineering. He served 2 years in the army and was stationed in Korea. He loved babies and little kids, trains, exotic cars, hardware stores and eating sweets, especially ice cream, but mostly loved to spend his time at home with his wife and best friend Rosemary and his cat, Coal. We will always remember him working in the back yard with a shovel in his hands.

Chuck is survived by his wife of 45 years, Rosemary, children, Jennifer Young spouse Dave, Jeffrey Young spouse Beverly, Michael DeBellis spouse Johna, Jeffrey DeBellis, grandson Dominic DeBellis spouse Danielle, brother Donald Young spouse Annette, great grand children Loralai and Nathan plus too many other family and friends to mention them all. He was preceded in death by his parents Don and Ortance, his brother Robert and daughter Laurie. A service will be held April 13 ,2016 at 1:15 p.m at the Riverside National Cemetery.
