Charles “Chuck” Huber Kalbach was born August 1, 1932 to Huber and Margaret Kalbach at Pomona Valley Hospital, Pomona, CA. Chuck entered eternal life on September 12, 2017. Chuck lived his whole life in California; worked as a rancher at the family Citrus groves in Alta Loma and Almond orchards in Paso Robles. He also owned a trucking company and drove school buses for Snowline School District. Chuck grew up in Southern California, graduated from Chaffey High School, Ontario and The University of Southern California. Chuck also served in the United States Marine Corp.
Chuck is survived by his wife of 64 years, Jeanice, his daughter, Liz Williams (Enoch), grandchildren Sabrina Kopchak (Tim), Jamie Duncanson (Kim), Michael Thayer and Mark Thayer, his great-grandchildren Becca Kopchak, Jett Kopchak, Mallory Duncanson, Lincoln Duncanson, and Norabell Duncanson. Chuck was predeceased by his sons Daniel R. Kalbach and John H. Kalbach.
Chuck had a passion for airplanes, trains and driving his race car. He was a member of SCTA (Southern California Timing Association) and provided many volunteer hours at El Mirage and Bonneville. He was also a member of the Lemon Men’s Club.
Donations in his name may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association. Donations may also be made to St. Alban’s Episcopal Church to be used to purchase citrus trees for the meditation garden.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 1:30pm at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, 12692 5th St., Yucaipa, CA
