Charles Templin of Redlands, California passed away on December 22nd at Scripps Green Hospital in La Jolla. Born in Salinas, Kansas to Claude and Isabel Templin, he served in the U.S. Air Force for 24 years before retiring in Southern California.
Charles is survived by his wife Lois, sister Janice Templin Johnston, daughter Maya (Dan) Williams, sons Blair (Ruth) Templin, Brian (Editha) Templin, Daniel (Christy) Templin and many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was very proud of each of them and loved them all very much.
He finished his career in the military working in the medical field and then after retiring became a teacher and coach in Riverside and Redlands. He was an avid reader and always enjoyed sports, whether as a coach, a competitor, or an observer. He has always been active in church, most recently at Immanuel Baptist Church in Highland for the past twelve years. He has been a Sunday school teacher, a youth leader, an Awana volunteer, and an altar counselor. His relationship with Jesus Christ was an extremely important part of who he was and he is in heaven with Him now.
