Clifford Coleman Mosher III, 85, of Pullman, Washington, passed away Sunday. He died in Redlands, California, where he had moved to be closer to family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Helene: his son Elliott (Julie) Mosher, and his daughter Alice Prescott. Professor Mosher moved to Pullman in 1973 for the power professorship at WSU, and so enjoyed his work, he continued to teach well beyond retirement. His interest in electronics started in the Navy, where he served from 1945 to 1949. He earned his bachelor s degree from Michigan State, where he was initiated into Phi Kappa Phi; master s from University of Texas at Austin, and PhD from Stanford in 1965. One of many accomplishments while on faculty here was initiating the Western Protective Relay Conference. He enjoyed many years of service to the Pullman Presbyterian Church and the local Rotary. Many thanks to the department of EECS at WSU for establishing a scholarship in his honor. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be made to this scholarship. Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 1st at 1:00 PM at the Pullman Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow at Pullman City Cemetery.
