Craig Johnson Bennion

August 9, 1943 — October 9, 2019

Robert Craig Johnson Bennion, born in Provo, Utah, August 9, 1943 to Arthur Estelle Johnson and MarJorie Owens. His father died in 1950 and his mother later married Hugh C. Bennion. He was raised in the Iona, Idaho Falls area where he was surrounded by family and friends while his mother was going back to school. They moved to the Rexburg are where he graduated from Madison High. He met and was dating Patsy LaRee Anderson, and decided to go with Demar Baron who was starting a pool company is Southern California. He worked in California for a while then went back for LaRee and they were married June 9, 1965 at Salem LDS Church in Rexburg Idaho. Craig was a man of great integrity and was loved and trusted by many. His word was his bond, people loved and appreciated that about him. He bought out Baron Pool and continued it up until a couple of years ago. He loved getting away to quiet places and enjoyed many years of camping, fishing, hunting trips. He is survived by his 2 daughters. Lori Bennion Clinger of Payette, Idaho and Kathryn Bennion of St. George, Utah, and 4 grandchildren; David, Holiann, Dylan, and Jorie; 1 sister, Jean Bennion Johnson of Hesperia, California; and 1 brother, David Bennion of Sandy, Utah. Preceded in death by his wife Laree Bennion; his mother, MarJorie Bennion, Hugh Bennion, and Art Johnson.
There will be a graveside service, Wednesday, November 13, 2019, 11:00 am, at Montecito Memorial Park 3520 E. Washington Street, Colton, Ca 92324.
