Crystal Quintana Garcia

June 14, 1926 — April 28, 2014

Passed away at Redlands Community Hospital on the morning of April 28th surrounded by her loving family. She lived her entire life in Redlands, CA. She attended Lincoln Elementary, Redlands Junior High, and Redlands Senior High Schools. She was active in the community as a member of the American Legion Post 650 Women s Auxiliary, was an Instructional Aide in the Redlands Unified School District, and was an active member of the Southern California Genealogical Society. She was deeply involved in researching her Quintana family heritage/genealogy.
Her immediate Quintana family, while she was growing up, was a large family; consisting of a total of 12 family members (including her father and mother, Antonio and Paula respectively). There was a total of 10 siblings; 7 sisters and 3 brothers. Her brothers preceding her in death were Angel, Michael, and Antonio, Jr. Her sisters preceding her in death were Catherine, Nellie, Linda (Lindy), Antonia (Toni), and Annie. She is survived by her sister Carmen Flores.
She was married to Emilio (Milo) Barbo Garcia for 57 years. In their lives together, Crystal and Milo had 3 boys, 4 grandchildren, and one great granddaughter. She is survived by sons Ronald (Ronnie), and Adrian Garcia. Her third and youngest son, Jaime (Shammie) Garcia, did precede her in death. Grandchildren are Amy, Stephanie, Jamie, and Anthony Garcia. Great granddaughter is Riley.
Memorial service is Thursday (today), May 1st, 2014 at Emmerson-Bartlett Memorial Chapel; 703 Brookside Ave.; Redlands, CA. 92373; (909) 793-2311. Viewing will begin at 4:00 pm in the chapel. Rosary will begin subsequently at 6:00 pm.
Graveside service is Friday, May 2nd, 2014 at Hillside Memorial Park Cemetery, 1540 Alessandro Rd., Redlands, CA. 92373; (909) 798-7569. Service commences at 10:00 am. There will be a reception following from 1:00 to 6:00 pm at American Legion Post 650, 1532 Church St., Redlands, CA. 92374; (909) 792-6783.
