On March 13, 2024, at the age of 65, Dave went to be with our Lord and Savior, in La Quinta, California. He valiantly fought a Stage IV cancer diagnosis for 3 years.

Dave will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He is survived by the love of his life and wife, Dee Dee, brothers John and Mark, sister Janis, many nieces and nephews, step-children and a grandson. Parents Richard and Mary, and brother Dick preceded him in death.

Dave will be remembered as a true gentleman. He was kind, courteous, brave, gracious, humble and loving. He was an athlete and loved competitive sports. His passion later in life was Pickleball. He was nick-named “Super Dave” on the court because of his “never give up” spirit! He was so loved by his family of Pickleball friends.

After the passing of his brother Dick, Dave took over the helm of the Granger Company, a Wood Chip Mill based in Clarkston, Washington. Dave successfully managed and directed the affairs of the business and negotiated the sale of the mill to Clearwater paper in 2012.

Dave was a living example of Ephesians 4:32 “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God forgave you in Christ.”

Dave will be buried at Hillside Memorial Park, 1540 Allesandro Road, Redlands, CA 92373 on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at 11 am followed by a luncheon. A Celebration of Life will be at Fritz Burns Pickleball Courts, on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at 5:30 pm.
