David Gordon MacGregor II January 07, 1962 to June 27, 2012 David, 50, was born in Banning on January 7, 1962, and lived most of his life in Yucaipa attending Yucaipa schools and graduating from Yucaipa High School in 1979. He loved working on any type of vehicle and dreamed of being an auto mechanic. He attended and graduated from mechanics school in Arizona, returned to Yucaipa, and worked as a mechanic for 35 years on everything from lawn mowers to diesel trucks in Banning to San Bernardino. He was in the U.S. Navy stationed at San Diego. David is survived by his father, David G. MacGregor Sr. (Robin); his mother Joice Dabney; his daughter Nicholle Meyer (Dirk) and their son Tyson; sister Terri Christenson and her family; brother Murray (Dianna) and his family; sister-in-law JoNette MacGregor and her family;step-brothers Jamie (Vicky) and Dan (Neely) Morrison; step-sister Donna Owen (Jerry); Uncle Jack and Aunt Shelia Cheetham, their daughters Lori Cheetham and Christine Good (Craig) and families; and loving friend Linda Danser and her son Matt. He was proceeded in death by his son David III; his brother Ian; brother-in-law David Christenson; and grandparents Robert and Marion Cheetham and Jan Hamil. He will be greatly missed by family and many friends. A memorial service will be held at the United Methodist Church at Beech and Adams St., Yucaipa, at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, July 7, 2012. Emmerson Bartlett Memorial Chapel assisted the family with arrangements. Donations to the Diabetes Assn. in lieu of flowers would be greatly appreciated.
