Debbie Castro Salveson

April 11, 1946 — January 19, 2018

Debbie C. Salveson, a longtime resident of Yucaipa, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday,  January 19, 2018.  She was born in Baja California on April 11, 1946. She came to the U.S. when she was only 4-years-old. She became a naturalized citizen at 17-years-old. She graduated from Pacific High School in San Bernardino. In 1966, she met the father of her four children, Ralph Martinez.  Although her primary occupation was homemaker; she worked various jobs over the years, mainly in domestic service. She eventually worked her way up to occupations within motel management.
        Debbie was especially known for her ability to listen and comfort those in need, whether they were family, friends or even strangers. She connected with people on an emotional and spiritual level. She was a devoted Christian with a childlike faith. She never judged anyone.  Debbie loved family, friends and people in general. She had a big heart and always wore a smile! She especially loved her Chihuahua, Thunder.  Any opportunity she had, she shared her love for Jesus and her faith in Him.  
Debbie is survived by her husband, Ronald Salveson; her daughter, Gloria McGlasson and her husband Gregg. Her sons; Ralph Martinez, John Martinez, and Manuel Martinez. Her six grandchildren; Sarah Davila, Valerie McGlasson, John Martinez Jr., Peter Baltimore, Aaron Martinez, Matthew Martinez and five great-grandchildren. Sisters; Rachel Gonzalez Young, and Neomi Pulgarin, and her second husband Peter Chiu. Debbie was preceded in death by her Father, Rosario; Mother, Amada; and brothers, Oscar and Ismael; and the father of her children, Ralph Martinez.
Services for Debbie will be held at Emmerson-Bartlett Memorial Chapel in Redlands, California, on Monday, January 29,2018, at 11:00am. Interment immediately following at Desert Lawn Memorial Park in Calimesa, California.
