Dennis Elroy Swanson

Dennis Elroy Swanson, age 71, was born April 18, 1939 in Grafton, North Dakota. Dennis passed away on December 14, 2010 at Kaiser Hospital in Fontana, CA. Dennis had been a longtime resident of San Bernardino County residing in Yucaipa for 40 years. He worked as a salesman in the beverage industry for 40 years, retiring with Coors Distribution Company of San Bernardino in 2001. He also served in the United States Army for 4 years. Dennis was a member of the Yucaipa Lions Club, and an avid golfer. He is survived by his wife, Judith of 42 years, his three daughters, Shellie Shook, Kimberly Swanson and Cindy Swanson, along with 3 grandchildren: Landon, Bryant and Austin Shook, all of Yucaipa, Ca and 3 children: Jodi Jacks, Jeff Swanson and Jolynn Saunders of Washington. A viewing will be held from 2:00pm to 4:00pm on Sunday, December 19th, at Emmerson Bartlett Memorial Chapel, 35208 Yucaipa, CA. A celebration of Dennis wonderful life will take place on Monday, December 20th at 10:00am at Faith Lutheran Church located at 12449 California Street in Yucaipa. A private graveside service with military honors will take place on Thursday, December 23, 2010 at 11:30am at Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, CA. Family under the care of Emmerson Bartlett Memorial Chapel, Yucaipa, CA.
