Diane Fay Amendt, age 70, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 in Redlands, Ca. Diane was born on September 10, 1951 in Upand, Ca. to Nancy and Harold Kamansky. She graduated from Pacific High School in 1969. Diane wed Anthony Lee Amendt, son of Leo and Eloise Amendt, on February 20, 1982. Diane was a graduate of the University of California, Riverside and received her Master’s in Education from the University of Redlands. Diane began her teaching career in 1998 in the Colton Joint Unified School District, and retired from education in 2018. Diane had a passion for the arts, and was part of Inland Dance Theater for more than 50 years. 45 of those years, she directed the annual production of “The Nutcracker” at the California Theater in San Bernardino.
Diane is survived by her brother, Judge Craig Kamansky, son, Ryan Amendt, daughter, Katy Swift, son-in- law, Nathan Swift and granddaughter, Kinley Swift. She is preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Amendt.
A memorial service will be held at the California Theater in San Bernardino on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at 11:00 am to celebrate the life of Diane Amendt. A scholarship has been set up in her name, please visit Scholarship Fund .
