Donald (Don) Earl Hollingsworth

Donald (Don) Earl Hollingsworth, age 86, died September 15, 2023. Don was born on February 3, 1937 in Onawa, Iowa to Ralph and Gazle Hollingsworth. He was the youngest of seven children in the family.

Don joined the Air Force February of 1954. He was stationed at many different bases in the United States, as well as two overseas assignments; in England and Spain. Don retired as a Master Sergeant after 20 years of service. Once he left the military, Don worked in the insurance industry for many years. His last employment was with the RTD-Regional Transportation District of Denver for over 14 years. He enjoyed when family and friends would ride his “route”.

Don is survived by his wife Sally. He is also survived by the mother (Joan Hollingsworth) of his two daughters: JoAnna (Monte) Eydenberg (children Monte (Nancy) Eydenberg II; Wilva Hollingsworth (children Stefanie Foote, Lindsay (Dane) Batch, Katelyn Foote, Josef Foote); sister Rosie Zeithamel; as well as three great grandchildren, Elijah Foote, Eloise Todd and Lily Eydenberg.

Graveside services will be on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at 11:45 a.m. at the Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd, Riverside, CA 92518
