Dorothy Jacobs

Dorothy Jacobs, 89, died on March 7, 2013 at Redlands Community Hospital. Dorothy was born November 7, 1923 in Pennsylvania, She was raised in Newark, NJ with her six brothers and sisters until she moved to California where she met her husband and married in 1955.. she was a resident of Yucaipa/Calimesa since 1968. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Philip T. Jacobs in 1979. Dorothy had a deep affection for all, and was a benefactor to many charities. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She will be deeply missed by her loving daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Michael Taylor of Maui, HI; daughter Nancy Jacobs of Calimesa; and loving grand daughter Jordan of Calimesa; sister, Ruby of Seattle WA, brothers James and Joseph Sembrot of Florida; many nieces and nephews who loved her very much and a beloved friend to many. "For those who have been faithful, O Lord, life is not ended, but merely changed; and when this earthly adobe dissolves, an eternal dwelling place awaits them in heaven." The family is being assisted by Emmerson-Bartlett Mortuary of Yucaipa.
