Dorothy Mae Rambo Renfroe
Sister Dorothy Renfroe was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on June 19, 1949, to the late Benjamin and Arthene Greenleaf Rambo. Dorothy attended public schools in Caddo Parish and graduated from Linear High School in 1967.
Dorothy was later employed as a teacher's aide in Caddo Parish Schools in Shreveport, Louisiana for several years. She later moved to Los Angeles, California in 1972 to care for her older sister, Margaret. She also worked at several schools in California as a teacher's aide.
Dorothy was united in holy matrimony to Joseph (Joe) Renfroe on December 27, 1979. She is the mother of one daughter, Tamika and one son, Girard; she is the grandmother of one loving granddaughter, Kaylah.
Dorothy was employed by the United States Postal service for 20 years. She retired in 2008.
Dorothy grew up in a family of seven children; one deceased sister, Margaret.
Dorothy is survived by her husband, Joseph Renfroe; one sister, Eula R. Maiden of Keithville, Louisiana; four brothers, Benjamin Rambo, Jr. of Shreveport, Louisiana, Clifford J. Rambo (Rose) of Forth Worth, Texas; Charles E. Rambo (Eva) of Shreveport, Louisiana; and Arthur R. Rambo of Dallas, Texas; three stepbrothers, Willie Johnson of San Diego, California; Clyde Johnson of Mesa, California; and Bennie Johnson of Bossier City, Louisiana. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.

She served God, family, and her fellowwomen with love, respect and honor. She knew that God has a prepared place for us and whenever He is we will be there also.
