Edith Muriel Wallis Guyse Edith Muriel Wallis Guyse, age 88, died March 10, 2015, in Boise, Idaho. She was born in Hot Spring County Arkansas, on September 23, 1926, to the late Cassaranda Hill and Riley Richmond Wallis. She spent her early years in and around Malvern, Arkansas, and following graduation from high school in 1944, she moved to Long Beach, California. Edith was employed at Douglas Aircraft Company in Long Beach during World War II and worked as "Rosie the Riveter" right alongside her Aunt Ernestine Wallis. On July 27, 1947, she married Chester P. Guyse in Yuma, Arizona, and they were married fifty three years. Edith was a loving wife and mother whose home was a haven of southern hospitality for family and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Rex Wallis Guyse and her husband, Chester. Edith lived in southern California for over sixty years; she moved to Boise, Idaho in 2006. She is survived by her daughter, Tina Ann Noack and her son-in-law Thomas Noack of Meridian, Idaho. Also surviving are her cousins, Bettye Wallace, Orman Wallis, Mary Frances Sears, Ronald Wallace and Patricia Corless. Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Friday, March 27, at Emmerson-Bartlett Memorial Chapel, 35208 Yucaipa Boulevard in Yucaipa, California.
