Eleanor (Mcpartland) Shaleski

Elenor Shaleski (McPartland)Passed away on 2 June 2009 at the Loma Linda Medical Center, Loma Linda, California. Elli was born on 7 April 1935 in San Francisco. She is survived by her loving husband and soul mate of 52 years, Reg Shaleski; her children Lisa Anne Metzger, her husband and three children and Patrick Sean Shaleski, his wife and two children; her treasured dog Lacy; and her last remaining sibling, Raymond McPartland. Elli met and married Reg while he was stationed at Hamilton Air Force Base, in Marin County, California. For the next 29 years they traveled throughout the United States, Alaska and Europe, with their two children, as new assignments arose. She truly relished the new challenges and opportunities encountered with each new assignment. Elli was determined to make life a little better for all, and to that end she was very invloved in her community's social and cultural efforts. From the Candy Stripe Volunteer programs in Alaska through the Kimberly-Shirk Docent Auxiliary, the Assistance League of Redlands, the San Bernardino Symphony Guild, the Breakfast Club of Redlands, the Associates of the Redlands Bowl, the Red Hats of Redlands, and others, Elli made her warmth and her vivacious personality felt by all. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation be made to a charity of one's choice. The celebration of her life will be at St. Frances X Cabrini Catholic Church at 12687 California Street, Yucaipa, California, at 10:00am on Tuesday, 30 June 2009, with interment on 1 July 2009 at 10:00am at Riverside National Cemetery.
