Erma Jean Fry

Erma Jean Fry, age 97 of Redlands, died on December 29, 2010 in Colton, California. She was born in Moberly, Mo on October 2, 1913. In 1931 she graduated from Rapid City HS in SD, and later moved to Monterey Park, CA where she resided from 1943-1991. She remained an active member of the Methodist Church both in Redlands & Monterey Park, while still serving as a volunteer at the Garfield Memorial Hospital in Monterey Park and later received the Hospital Aux Woman of the Year. Some of her favorite hobbies included golf, knitting, puzzles, piano, organ, playing and traveling. She is survived by her daughter Jean (Roger) Duffer of Redlands, son James (Carol) Fry of Torrrance, 4 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Sunday, January 2, 2010 from 2pm-4pm at Emmerson Bartlett Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow on Tuesday, January 4, 2010 at Rose Hills Memorial Park Whittier, CA. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to the First United Methodist Church (Music Ministry) in Redlands.
