Ethel Frances Heaven

Dr. Ethel Frances Heaven was born September 15, 1930 in Chicago, IL. She was a graduate of Schurz High School and while sophomore in medical school, was the first female to receive the Frederick H. Rawson Jr. Scholarship at Northwester University Medical School when she was just 21 years old. She was accepted into Alpha Omega Alpha an honorary medical fraternity for Northwestern University Medical School during her junior year. She graduated from the University of Chicago and Northwestern University Medical School. Upon graduating, she married Dr. Robert C. Heaven on October 30, 1955 in Chicago IL. Dr. Ethel Heaven is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Robert C. Heaven, her father Frank Young, mother and step-father, Mr. & Mrs. Kazys Charles and Ethel Polonis. She is survived by family members Debra Osipavicius of Arizona and Barbara Rimgale of Florida, many friends including Donna Brown and Darel Ferguson. Funeral Service will be held on Friday January 21, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Desert Lawn Memorial Park Chapel at 11251 Desert Lawn Drive Calimesa, Ca 92320 to follow by graveside. Emmerson Bartlett Memorial Chapel assisted the family with arrangements.
