Evelyn Dale (Lynn) Iverson

January 4, 1916 — March 19, 2009

Evelyn (Lynn) Iverson, A resident of Redlands for over 60 years, passed away March 19, 2009 at the age of 93. Born January 4, 1916 in Canton, South Dakota,Lynn grew up in Moorhead, Minnesota in a large family of artists, musicians and educators. She graduated from Concordia College and taught for several years before marrying Edward Iverson. Ed and Lynn lived in Elbow Lake, Minnesota and Danbury, Connecticut before moving to Redlands in 1947. Lynn was a home teacher for the Redlands Public Schools, a volunteer at the Lutheran Braille Workers,a longtime member of Sons of Norway, and a lifelong Lutheran. She was passionate about history,genealogy, travel and art, an accomplished painter and author of Prairie Wind, Blow Me Back. Lynn and Ed loved to travel. Their journeys took them throughout North America, Asia, Africa, Europe and especially Norway. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Iverson; and is survived by her children, Jack Iverson (Suzy) of Capistrano Beach and Kathy Mohn (David) of Crystal, Minnesota; granddaughters, Michelle Hausz (Craig), Linnea Mohn, Eva Mohn; and two great granddaughters, Morgan and Cameron Hausz. The Committal will be Thursday, March 26, 2:00 p.m. at Hillside Cemetery. The Memorial Service will be Friday, March 27, 11:00 a.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Yucaipa, California.
