Frieda Emma Judy Ignelzi

Frieda Emma Judy Ignelzi a resident of Big Bear for over 40 years, passed September 10, 2010 at Plymouth Village in Redlands. She was 85. Frieda was born June 1, 1925, in Chicago, Illinois. Her mother and Father where Danish Emigrants from Copenhagen, Denmark. As a teenage her family moved to California. She worked for Knudsen Cream, alone with her Father, sister and 2 brothers. Frieda worked for Safeway after World War II in Los Angeles. In 1953 she married Guido (Harry) Ignelzi who was the Produce Manager at the store. They Honeymooned and yearly vacationed in Big Bear. Frieda became a stay at home mom rasing 4 children. In 1962 Guido requested a transfer from L.A. to Big Bear from Safeway, their dream of rasing their family and living in Big Bear full time came true. Frieda returned to Safeway in 1970, she retired in 1982. Frieda was a member of St. Joseph s Church in Big Bear, and a Den Mother for Cub Scouts. They regretfully left Big Bear in 2003 for health reasons. Frieda will be reunited with her husband Guido, son Ron, brother Jim and sister Helen. She is survived by her: Children: Michael Ignelzi, Kathleen Jecusco-LaHaye, and Sandie Petrucelli; Grandchildren, Michael Marcotte, Teresa Marcotte, Marcie Oxandaboure, Megan Mulet, Natalie Jecusco-Anderson, Nathan Heller, Lauren Ignelzi, Katherine Ignelzi; Great Gradnchildren: Malorie, Coyrtne, Cameron, Amanda, Timothy, Madison, Brooklyn, Benjamin and Sophia; brother: Jack Hanse. Services are 11:00am at St. Joseph s Church in Big Bear on Friday, September 17th, 2010 , burial will follow at Gold Mountain Memorial Park in Big Bear. Family under the care of Emmerson Bartlett Memorial Chapel, Redlands, CA.
