Gary Wayne Flood, age 84, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2024. Born on December 13, 1939, in Loma Linda, California, Gary moved to Yucaipa, CA at a young age. He attended Redlands High School and, in 1960, proudly joined the U.S. Navy.

Gary's career path led him to Kaiser's Eagle Mountain Mine and later into the egg ranching business, where he found his true calling. He managed the egg processing plant for Olsen Bros. and later for McAnally egg ranch, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues and friends alike.

Gary is survived by his devoted loving wife of 54 years, Yolanda Flood; his daughter Karon of Sagle, Idaho; his son Ross of Sandpoint, Idaho; his sister Dianna Carson and brother Terry Flood, both of Marysvale, Utah; 6 grandchildren and countless nieces, nephews and in-laws who all deeply adored him. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Garnetta, and his brothers Denny and Tommy.

Known for his kind heart and unwavering willingness to help anyone in need, Gary was loved by all who knew him. His genuine and lasting relationships with family and friends are a testament to his loving nature and selfless character. He could always be counted on to lend a helping hand and provide support in any way he could.

In his free time, Gary enjoyed riding his motorcycle, golfing, road trips, attending concerts, rodeos and sporting events, and was an avid reader. Despite his many interests, his true passion lay in fostering deep, sincere, and enduring relationships with those around him. His warmth and kindness left an indelible mark on everyone he met, and he will be sorely missed by all.

A memorial service to celebrate Gary's life will be held on Saturday, June 15th at 10:30 AM at Emmerson-Bartlett Memorial Chapel, located at 35208 Yucaipa Blvd in Yucaipa. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or any other charity that helps children, reflecting Gary's generous spirit and lifelong commitment to helping others.

Gary Wayne Flood's legacy of love, compassion, and friendship will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him. He leaves behind a world made better by his presence and a community that will forever cherish his memory.
