Geoffrey Paul Adams of Winchester, California died 28 February 2010 in Ontario, California after a short illness. He was 84 years young. He was born on December 15, 1925 in Liverpool, England to James and Annie Adams. During World War II he served in the British Merchant Marine and the Royal Air Force. After the war, he returned to the Merchant Marine serving aboard numerous vessels including the HMS Queen Mary. In 1950 he joined the United States Army. He served in many locations including Africa, France, Korea, Germany, and the United States. He retired after 20 years of distinguished service in 1970. He taught at Mount Miguel High School and Santana High School in San Diego for 17 years. Geoffrey enjoyed gourmet cooking, painting, listening to classical and Irish music, and working in the garden. He loved animals and always had a man s best friend faithfully at his side. He is preceded in death by his parents James and Annie, his brothers Desmond and Ronald, his sister Eileen and his daughter Patricia. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Gisela, daughters Rebecca of San Diego, California, Rachel of La Jolla, California sons Matthew of Anchorage, Alaska, Ronald of Redlands, California Daniel of Escondido, California and Paul of Jupiter, Florida, sisters Inez and Pauline of Great Britain, and 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He will be laid to rest at Riverside National Cemetery on March ARB on 9th of March, 2010. Family under the care of Emmerson Bartlett Memorial Chapel, Redlands, CA.
