Gladys Patricia Lehnhof, 67, of Jackson, Missouri peacefully passed away just as the sun was rising early Saturday, November 11, 2017 at her home surrounded by family.
She was born January 5, 1950 in Vernal, Utah to Gilbert J. and Mary E. (Cronquist) Albiston and grew up in Rangely, Colorado. She later attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, where she met Steven Jay Lehnhof. They were married September 10, 1971 in the Los Angeles LDS temple.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints wherein she faithfully served throughout her life.
After being diagnosed with ALS in November of 2014, she continued courageously to inspire everyone around her with her faith, determination, strength, and love for others. Despite her debilitating disease, she preferred to focus her attention outward, always looking for ways to lift, serve, and love others.
Survivors include her five children, Lance (Jennifer) Lehnhof of Highland, Utah, Kerrianne (Douglas) Burch of Twin Falls, Idaho, Erin (Cody) Windbigler of Jackson, Missouri, Mary Beth (Matthew) Glauser of Katy, Texas, and Brian (Bobbie) Lehnhof of Jackson, Missouri; sister, Beverly Byers of Rangely, Colorado; and 22 adoring grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Gary Albiston, and husband, Steve, in 1995. All who know her would agree that she has, with much anticipation, patiently awaited a very happy reunion with Steve.
A memorial service was held Monday, Nov. 13, 2017 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
