Gloria G Pruitt entered into rest on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, surrounded by love and her family by her side.
She was born September 8, 1938, to Frank and Conception Garcia. She was the youngest of 7 children.
Gloria or Godi, to those who have known her since childhood, was an incredible mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She lived her entire lifetime in her beloved city of Redlands, CA.
In her youth, she enjoyed going to the ballrooms to dance. Her passion for softball introduced her to many friends, where she was apart of numerous leagues such as the Powder Puffs and the Cherokees.
On August 19, 1960, she married Edward Lee Pruitt of Redlands, CA and had a daughter, Elizabeth.
She worked at the first Taco Tia where she encountered many movie stars who would often ask for her by name as they traveled to Palm Springs.
For 16 years, she was a bus driver for Redlands Unified School District, then later worked at Cal Poly Pomona as an athletic equipment attendant where she retired.
Throughout her years, Gloria enjoyed traveling, often visiting many national state parks, Mexico, and overseas.
You could often find her at home watching her favorite channel, Fox News, where she stayed up on current events.
Gloria was cherished by many friends and family. She leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness to those she came in contact with.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Francisco and Conception Garcia, and her siblings, Emilo, Raul, & Alex Garcia, Ester Alanis, and Vera Alvarez.
She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Liz & Phillip Luna, 3 grandchildren, Phillip, Lauren & Liberty Luna, and 3 great-grandchildren, along with her lifelong friend Sue Santiago, her sister, Eleanor Delgado, and many nieces and nephews who loved her.
Funeral services will be held on March 6, 2025, at Emerson Bartlett Memorial Chapel from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Reception to follow.
