Grace Ruiz Saucedo

Our beloved Mom passed away peacefully August 31, 2016 at the age of 88. Grace was born on March 12, 1928 in Devore, California. She lived as a lifelong resident of Redlands, California. Her parents were Secundino and Francisca Fuentes, also residents of Redlands.
She was married to Isaias G. Ruiz and had five wonderful children. She was a housewife and loved every minute of it. She was always doing things for other people by sharing God's love and sharing her famous chocolate chip cookies.
She always opened her home to others and had a home cooked meal ready to serve. Her children and grandchildren were the love of her life. She went to work for Redlands Day Nursery in Redlands for 17 years as head cook. They always loved the special items she cooked that were not on the menu. Her husband died shortly after that in 1995.
She remarried in 1998 to Rev. Salvador Saucedo. During those years of marriage they loved riding in his 1957 Chevy to go visit the sick and to pray for them. In 2011, Rev. Saucedo passed.
She belonged to the Community Faith Center with Pastor Eddie Campa, on 1205 Texas Street in Redlands. She was faithful to her church and you could see her raising her hands to give thanks to her God. She always told her family as they were leaving from a visit, "God bless you." Her family were the first pioneers of Redlands to start the Apostolic Church on Lawton Street.
Grace had two sisters and nine brothers. Sisters are Annie Ramirez and Becky Mejia (Deceased).
Her brothers are Larry, Daniel, Phillip, Henry, and Manuel, who have all passed away; Still alive are Roy, Ernie, David and Richard.
She is survived by her children Yolanda Tellyer, Dorothy Arroyo, Manuel Ruiz, Linda Price and Andrew Ruiz.
Sons-In-Law are David Tellyer, John Arroyo and Harry Price.
Her Joy were her 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Services will be Monday, September 12, 2016 at Highest Praise Apostolic Church, 721 Nevada Street Suite 408, Redlands, California 92373, at 11:00am. Interment immediately following at Hillside Memorial Park, 1540 Alessandro Road, Redlands, California 92373.
