Helen Elizabeth Mariano

Born in Trinidad, Colorado Feb 5, 1927; died Redlands, California Jan 11, 2018
Helen was a loving wife to Henry (Bill) Mariano, Jr., who preceded her in death, a devoted mother to Patricia Mariano Denning, Cynthia Kay Heisler, Paul Michael Mariano, Valerie Mariano Swiderski and Stephen John Mariano, and grandmother to Tamar Anna Gronowski, Rachel Lynn Smith, Jacob Paul Mariano, Alaina Rose Mariano, Dominic John Mariano and Zachary Thomas Mariano. She is also survived by 11 great -grandchildren.
In her early years, Helen worked as a bookkeeper in Colorado and then again for over 20 years in the Inland Empire at Plymouth Village, Highland Supply Corporation, and Reid & Hellyer Associates.  She was dedicated to her family, gardening and travel, having explored the world on multiple occasions – by land, sea and air.  A strong, independent woman, she was a longtime resident of Redlands (40 Years) where she raised her family and later lived in Hesperia, San Mateo and Patterson, California before returning to Redlands in 2016.
A funeral mass will be said in her honor on February 9, 2018 at Holy Name of Jesus Church, Redlands, CA at 1:00 pm.
Burial will be held on Saturday February 10, 2018 at Hillside Memorial Park at 10:00 am with a celebration of her life to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Redlands Horticulture Society, the Catholic Charities of Riverside and San Bernardino County or a charity of your choice.
